Lifestyle insurance provider Aflac wanted to demystify Open Enrollment for existing and potential customers alike, in a way that was nonthreatening, easy, and available 24/7. And ideally, using their Aflac spokes-duck. DuckChat is not only funny, simple to use, it's also the first time anyone has ever been able to hear actual words from the Aflac Duck, and I'm pleased to have been able to give him his voice on this momentous occasion!

T-Mobile needed a couple of email blasts to publicize their #HatsOff4Heroes charity promotion and their Home Run Derby Bracket Challenge contest.

I was asked to help create a brand for this Oregon historian, as well as website copy. Janice used to be a cabinet maker in a past life, so taking that information and seeing the parallels between that craft and the craft of building personal stories and histories made all the sense in the world.

I'm Jenny and I'm a copywriter who can for reals write.

That's a bonus of working as a copy editor for years. I know how to properly use a semicolon, and when to (very rarely) use the passive voice.

 

But more importantly, I know what makes great creative, and the idea absolutely transcends the writing, although truly great writing can elevate a project to new heights. I'm a firm believer that, in this era of Insta-influencers and pay-to-skip-commercials and journalism-is-dead, any ad must first and foremost be entertainment. And that is my favorite thing to write—entertaining, preferably weird stuff that makes people stop scrolling and go, "Wait, I wanna watch this, I'm not ready to get off the toilet yet."
